Ruby Tuesday Championship Racing Team Ready for Finale in Utah
Kelleners to Drive with Rockenfeller

Tavares, Florida  --  The Ruby Tuesday Championship Racing Team moved operation from Sonoma to Salt Lake City today in preparation for the final round of the Grand American Rolex Series presented by Crown Royal Reserve to be run this Saturday, September 2nd at Utah’s Miller Motorsport Park.

Patrick Long’s prior commitments will not allow him to complete the season with the Ruby Tuesday team.  Ralf Kelleners will join Mike Rockenfeller behind the wheel of the Alex Job Racing prepared Porsche powered Crawford for the nine-hour series closer.  Kelleners is a veteran of road racing and the Grand American series.

Miller Motorsport Park, located about one-half-hour from Salt Lake City, boasts a 4.5-mile, 24-turn flat road course.  The track, the longest on the schedule, will be the first time that the Grand American series compete there on Saturday.

Ralf Kelleners is looking forward to driving the Ruby Tuesday car.  “I have been fighting against Alex’s team in the ALMS for many years and I have always rated them very highly.  It is an honor to join them as well as come back to the Grand Am series especially in the competitive Ruby Tuesday car.  Mike Rockenfeller is a fast driver and he has shown that all season, we should make a good team.  Miller is a new track and a pretty long one as well, the length of a track, especially in a nine-hour race, makes it more interesting for the driver.  The keys for the race will be to have the quickest car, do well in the pits and be lucky!”

Mike Rockenfeller brings racing experience at the new track.  “I competed here just about a month ago.  The track is long, with a three-quarter mile straight and not many natural reference points.  There are also a lot of nice high speed sections that should really suit our car.  I also know what to expect as far as traffic flow on the track and where the good spots are to get around the GT cars.  The long straight and altitude may affect our car a little more than the others, with just six-cylinders.  It is a shame that we don’t have Patrick, but Ralf will do a good job.”

“We knew going into the season that Patrick’s schedule may not allow him to run at Miller, we will miss him,” said Alex Job, team owner.  “Ralf has a lot of time behind the wheel of a DP car, so I have a lot of confidence in our driver selection.  The crew knows what it takes to be successful at Miller having just raced here last month with our 996 RSR.  We would really like to close out the season with a win at Miller.”

The Ruby Tuesday Championship Racing Team is currently fifth in the battle for the team championship.  Long and Rockenfeller are fourth in the drivers point standings in the Daytona Prototype category.

The final round of the Grand American Rolex series from Miller Motorsport Park will be televised on Speed Channel live starting at 2:00 p.m. ET, Saturday, September 2, the second segment of the telecast will begin at 6:00 p.m. ET.
