Alex Job Racing/Emory Motorsports Ready to Take on Homestead

Tavares , Florida -- Alex Job Racing/Emory Motorsports will return to the Grand American Rolex Series presented by Crown Royal Reserve to take on Homestead Miami Speedway on March 25 th .

Carrying the momentum from the 24 Hours at Daytona , where the team managed to lead 105 laps, record fastest race lap and sit on the pole, the Florida based Daytona Prototype runners hope to improve three places from their twice around the clock finish. The team will have Porsche factory drivers Patrick Long and Mike Rockenfeller behind the wheel as they head back to the 2.3-mile modified oval course just south of Miami .

"We have had a few weeks off since Daytona, and that has only made the team and drivers hungry to run our DP car again," said Alex Job. "We had a great run at Daytona, the first time out for the car. Homestead is a similar layout, so we are hoping to be a front runner there as well. We tested there in December and were relatively quick, now that we can apply what we learned at Daytona, we think we will be just as competitive."

Patrick Long is looking forward to returning to Homestead . "When we tested at Homestead prior to Daytona, we were consistently in the top five in practice. We learned a lot about the car in the sessions and race at the 24, so hopefully we have picked up some time. Grand Am has been getting good sized grids, so the track will be busy with 50 cars going around. The Homestead layout is similar to Daytona with a good banked fast section sandwiched between some slower corners. Our car seems to favor that kind of layout, so we are looking to be very competitive next week."

Mike Rockenfeller hopes to finish what the team started at Daytona. " Homestead is similar to Daytona, so hopefully we can be as competitive, but finish three places ahead of where we were at the 24. We will have to have a good setup under the car again as you have to have confidence in the car to go flat-out around the banking. The Porsche/Crawford package really liked Daytona; I hope it likes Homestead just as well."

The team's Daytona effort is sponsored by Shred-it; the world's leading on site document destruction company. The team will also feature partners adidas, Bell Micro, 10 th and M Seafoods, ProVest, BBS and charity Limbs for Life.
