ALEX JOB RACING LOOKS FOR BRIGHTER DAYS AT PORTLAND WITH ROCKENFELLER/LIDDELL TANDEM

Tavares, Fla. – Alex Job Racing is looking to improve its performances of late at Portland International Raceway for the Portland Grand Prix on Saturday. Scot Robin Liddell will partner AJR regular Mike Rockenfeller for this weekend's race.

Scheduling conflicts with Klaus Graf has resulted in the team employing Liddell to run the Portland round. He has competed in the Series in 2004 in the P2 class with Intersport and in 2005 with Panoz Motor Sports.

Liddell is looking forward to returning to the Series. "I am absolutely thrilled to have been asked to drive the car as I have long been an admirer of Alex Job Racing and their professionalism. The 23 car in particular has had a great history and built up quite an impressive record with some great drivers over the last few years. The first time I raced at Portland was in 2004 driving the Intersport Lola-Judd. We won the LMP2 class and I recorded fastest lap so it was a good result all round. Last year I drove the Panoz and we finished 4th in GT2. It is important to try to fit in well and get to know everyone as quickly as possible, but at the end of the day you need to get up to speed as quickly as possible without making errors. Everyone on the team is looking for the same result so I am sure we will be on the same page pretty quickly. I am fortunate to have driven for many teams and some pretty good ones and as I already know a few of the AJR guys, I am sure we will get along fine. It will be good to drive with Mike as he is held in high regard and he knows the car/team very well so I am sure he will help me to get accustomed to everything quickly."

Rockenfeller will visit Portland for the first time. "This is another new track for me. I have heard there are some high-speed sections and the first turns at the end of the front straight can be hazardous. I have been able to learn these new tracks really easy. The team has been there and won races at Portland, so we should be up to speed right off of the truck. Robin is a very good Porsche driver and I am hoping we can get win number two on the season this weekend."

"Klaus' future commitments precipitated us running Robin this weekend. Robin has a great deal of Porsche experience and has also raced at Portland in the past with Intersport. We have won at Portland the last two years so we will unload with a car that is ready to run at the front. We are heading to Portland with the same goal as the previous five rounds – to win."

The Portland International Raceway features a 12-turn, 1.94-mile road course with the infamous Festival Curves at the end of the front straight. Alex Job Racing has an excellent Portland track record with wins in 2005, 2004 and 1999.

Rockenfeller is currently seventh in drivers points, 43 out of the lead, with Alex Job Racing fifth in the team standings.

Round Six of the American Le Mans Series to be run at Portland International Raceway will be televised on CBS, tape delayed, on Sunday, July 23rd at 3:00 p.m. EDT.
