6-7-07 -- For Immediate cRelease

Ruby Tuesday Championship Racing Team Seeks Back-to-Back Wins at Watkins Glen

Coming off a thrilling victory at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, the Ruby Tuesday Championship Racing Team is looking to become the first repeat race winner this season when the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Special Reserve travels to Watkins Glen International June 8-9 for the Sahlen_s Six Hours of The Glen.

Drivers Patrick Long and his defending Daytona Prototype Drivers_ Champion teammate Jörg Bergmeister will look to master the 3.4-mile, 11-turn long road course in an effort to become the first Grand-Am Rolex Series Daytona Prototype team to win two races this season.

_I think there are still some strong cars out there that haven_t won yet,_ Bergmeister said regarding why it has been tough for teams to string two or more victories together. _So, for the Ruby Tuesday Team [to win again], it will take some luck and more hard work from everyone on the team. I hope that the test days we had will help us to be even more competitive so we can be the first team to become a repeat race winner this year._

If any one knows how tough it is and what it will takes to put the No. 23 Ruby Tuesday Championship Racing Team Porsche Crawford in victory circle at The Glen, Bergmeister does. He won last year_s Sahlen_s Six Hours of The Glen.

_To win a six-hour race you obviously need a quick car, but you also need some luck,_ Bergmeister said. _In addition, you need to have a good race strategy and good pit stops. It will take a strong overall team effort to win this race. I really like Watkins Glen. It_s a great track and very challenging. It has everything from slow to super quick corners. It is one of my favorite tracks in the U.S._

_I don_t have a lot of experience at Watkins Glen,_ Long said. _But, I always enjoy coming back to this track and I am looking forward to having a great weekend._

_Thanks to our hard fought win at Laguna three weeks ago, the Ruby Tuesday team is carrying a lot of momentum and much-needed confidence into this weekend_s six-hour race,_ team owner Alex Job said. _We know we will have to battle to make it to victory circle again, mainly because we know just how tough our competition is. But, we also know that we have the right car, the right drivers and the right team to make it happen._

With one win, two top-five and four top-10 finishes this season, Bergmeister and Long both sit in fourth place with 124 points (24 points behind the leader Scott Pruett) in the Grand-Am Rolex Series Daytona Prototype Driver Point standings. The Ruby Tuesday Championship Racing Team is in fifth place in the Grand-Am Rolex Series Team Point standings with 124 points.

In preparation for the Sahlen_s Six Hours of The Glen, the No. 23 Porsche Crawford will turn its first practice laps at 9:30 a.m. (EDT), with a second practice set for at 1:10 p.m. (EDT), and qualifying is set for at 4:20 p.m. (EDT) Friday, June 8. Grand-Am Rolex Series Daytona Prototype race fans can catch split race coverage from Watkins Glen International live on SPEED Channel beginning at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (EDT), with continuing coverage through the end of the race starting at 2:30 p.m. (EDT) Saturday, June 9.
