TAVARES, Fla. - If history is any indicator of future results, then Ruby Tuesday Championship Racing Team drivers Bill Auberlen and Joey Hand should find themselves a top the podium following this weekend's round two of the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

The Ruby Tuesday Championship Racing Team won the Grand Prix of Miami in 2006 and Auberlen won the same race last season. Now with history on their side, the team and its drivers are set to tackle the 2.3-mile, 11-turn road course in the Alex Job Racing-prepared No. 23 Ruby Tuesday Championship Racing Team Porsche-powered Crawford Daytona Prototype.

"To repeat a win again this year would be the perfect trifecta for the two of us," Auberlen said. "Alex has won it. I've won it. But, we have never won it together. This is the year for that to happen, although it is probably the toughest year ever to win it. The competition is the strongest I've seen in a long time. 

"Unfortunately, we are going into this race without the new bodywork, which is going to make our job a little bit more difficult. But, I have such a strong team and co-driver behind me that I can't help but feel confident that we will be in victory lane together. We were on target to do that in Daytona."

Though the team and Auberlen have tasted victory at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Hand knows the road to victory lane isn't going to be an easy one.

"For us to do well at Homestead, we will have to hit the set-up pretty much out of the truck," Hand said. "Early on, we will be at a slight disadvantage because we did not test there. But, Bill and I are pretty good at working with the engineer and getting the car up to speed in a short amount of time. Bill won this race last year and I have had some good runs here, so I'm excited about what we can possibly pull off there."

"After nearly two months, the team is really looking forward to getting back to the track," Job said. "We had a great run at Daytona and I am excited about what Bill and Joey can do in this race car. They have such good chemistry together that I think we are going to be tough to beat this year."

Rolex Series combined (DP/GT) practice session gets underway at 2:45 p.m. Thursday, March 27, with a DP only practice session beginning at 3:45 p.m. Rolex Series combined practice resumes at 10 a.m. Friday, March 28, with a 15-minute DP qualifying session set for 3:30 p.m. The green flag will drop for the Round Two race at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 29. Race fans can watch same day tape-delayed race coverage beginning at 6 p.m. (EDT) on SPEED.
