AJR Drivers First Impressions of Lime Rock
Timo
Bernhard, #23 McKenna/mail2web/Alex Job Racing/Porsche 911 GT3 RSR:
"I was happy to be fastest in first practice with a 55.388.
The track is nice. The blind entry into the chicane up the hill
is interesting. The concrete patches in turn one are tricky because
you always have two tires on them and it upsets the car. In the
rain the whole thing changes, the exit of the turns are slippery,
where you think you will have grip you don't."
Jorg
Bergmeister, #23 McKenna/mail2web/Alex Job Racing/Porsche 911 GT3
RSR: "I think it is fun! I really like the fast downhill section,
it is really my kind of turn. Like Mid-Ohio there are concrete patches
in the corners, but these don't have any grip. The bumps at the
entry of turn one can really upset the car and force you outside
open the door to be passed."
Romain
Dumas, #24 McKenna/mail2web/Alex Job Racing/Porsche 911 GT3 RSR:
"The track is really tough. You have to have a good set-up
to really make the car drive well. We are trying to figure out the
best settings to go over the bumps, because they are at the apex
and in the braking zone. It is short and tight, we don't have time
to take a breath out there."
Marc
Lieb, #24 McKenna/mail2web/Alex Job Racing/Porsche 911 GT3 RSR:
"Crazy! I like the downhill section, it is a real challenge
to get through there fast, you have to be brave. There are a lot
of bumps and the racing surface is very tight. The concrete portions
are slippery, almost like going over patches of rain."
