AJR Looking for Three Wins in a Row at Road America

Tavares, Florida -- Alex Job Racing will take its McKenna/mail2web.com/Xybernaut/
Alex Job Racing/Porsche 911 GT3 RSRs to Road America looking for its fourth win in a row in round seven of the American Le Mans Series race to be run on August 22nd.

AJR driver Timo Bernhard currently sits second in the driver's points standings with 93, just four out of the lead. Alex Job Racing leads the ALMS GT team standings by 18 and is looking for its fifth win this year.

Bernhard and co-driver Jorg Bergmeister will try to backup their win at Mosport one week ago. "I really like Road America," said Bergmeister. "It is my favorite track in the United States. I would compare it to a mini Nordscleife in Germany with the elevation changes and fast turns. The section of turns from one to three is very nice, you have a lot of grip there and you can carry a lot of speed into the corners. Turn 11 is very fast for our Porsche, it's almost flat in fifth gear at around 130 miles per hour and you don't want to make a mistake there, because the wall is pretty close."

Romain Dumas is spending this weekend at Silverstone where he is driving a prototype in the Le Mans European Series. "Marc and I have been able to learn these new tracks very quickly," said Dumas. "The team provides us with the data from last year and that really helps to reduce the learning curve. The Porsche is such a friendly race car to drive that the baseline setup is usually very close, so the first practice we can focus on learning the track and then later get down to setting up the car to do fast and consistent lap times."

"We are riding a good streak going into Road America with three wins," said Alex Job, team owner. "We had a little scare at Mosport with Marc, but he is fit to drive and hungry to win again. We always like coming to Road America, we have a good setup for the track and it is very long which rewards quality driving. We are in a great position with Timo in the points chase and we hope to gain on that lead next week."

Round seven of the American Le Mans Series will be August 22nd and televised live on Speed Channel starting at 1:00 p.m. Eastern time.
