DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Cooper MacNeil (Hinsdale, Ill), David MacNeil (Hinsdale, Ill), Keen (Charleston, S.C.), Shane van Gisbergen (New Zealand) and Jeannette (Salt Lake City, Ut) are running in fifth place in GTD at the half distance of the 54th running of the Rolex 24 Hours At Daytona at Daytona International Speedway.

Heading into the night and early morning the WeatherTech Porsche team was able to strategize their way back from being two laps down and even managed to lead laps just past midnight. Australian V8 Supercars standout van Gisbergen put the 22 into the top spot in GTD.

"We led some laps, so that was cool," van Gisbergen said. "The Lamborghinis are still very fast. I got in the car in 11th did a couple of stints and I was able to get a couple of awesome passes and move into the lead. Two Lambos came together and it was a perfect time for a yellow for us. We have a clean fast car now."

Jeannette was happy to get some dry running in the WeatherTech Porsche.

"Those were the first dry laps I've had in the car all weekend," Jeannette said. "I was really just getting settled in the car again. I did a double stint and it was pretty uneventful. We are lacking some speed in certain areas, like on the banking. The Lamborghini seems like it is in a different class altogether. We are back on a good program now."

Keen put in three stints.

"We have been battling back from going down a few laps early one," Keen said. "We made some adjustments and the team has been working the strategy and we are back on the lead lap now. It is that time of the race where the Porsche has a little oversteer here and a little understeer there, so you just to keep ahead of it with adjustments as best as you can."

The 54th running of the Rolex 24 Hour At Daytona is being televised at IMSA.tv from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. At 7 a.m. the coverage will switch over to FOX Sports 1, then over to FOX Sports 2 at 10:30 a.m. and back to FOX Sports 1 for the finish at 1 p.m.
